Torbay Golf Centre is delighted to announce that Neil Holman Golf has been awarded the title of Apex of Achievement: South West’s Finest Golf Academy & Tuition 2025 – a prestigious accolade recognising exceptional coaching, service, and dedication to developing the game across the region.
Situated in the picturesque Clennon Valley, adjacent to Holburn Holiday Park in Paignton, Devon, Torbay Golf Centre has become a much-loved destination for golfers of all abilities. The Centre offers outstanding facilities, including a 28-bay undercover driving range (with six additional outdoor bays), a fully equipped swing studio, a retail golf shop, the highly regarded ‘Amen Corner’ short game area, and the welcoming Range Café. Visitors can also enjoy an 18-hole FootGolf course on-site.
At the heart of the academy’s success is Neil Holman, a PGA Fellow Professional with over 34 years of coaching experience. Renowned for his personalised and results-driven approach, Neil specialises in one-to-one tuition, helping players at every level improve their technique, boost confidence, and rediscover their love for the game. His popular coaching sessions start at £45 for 40 minutes, with discounted multi-session packages available.
With access to top-class training areas including an undercover Huxley putting green, a purpose-built short game area for pitching, chipping and bunker play, as well as full-range targets from 100 yards through to drivers, Neil covers every aspect of the modern game. Whether it’s mid-irons or fairway woods, beginners or seasoned players – “you name it, Neil can do it!”
“This award is a tremendous honour and a reflection of the passion, care and commitment we bring to each and every lesson,” said Neil Holman. “Our goal has always been to provide an enjoyable, tailored experience that helps golfers thrive on and off the course. This recognition means a great deal to all of us.”
Torbay Golf Centre continues to invest in its facilities, ensuring regular improvements and upgrades are carried out with minimal disruption to visitors. Thanks to its north-facing range orientation, the Centre is sheltered from prevailing winds and offers welcome shade during sunnier spells – making it an ideal all-weather venue.
