Albany Tripp, owner of Sakura Studio Gallery, has been named Inspirational Woman In Business 2026 – Art and Design, recognising the impact she’s making through creativity, community, and resilience.

Based at Stonham Barns Park in Suffolk, Sakura Studio Gallery has grown from a personal return to art into a welcoming creative space for local artists and visitors. What started as Albany picking up a paintbrush again during maternity leave has since developed into a thriving hub offering workshops, classes, and space for other creators.

“I didn’t just want it to be about my work,” Albany says. “I wanted it to be somewhere creativity could grow for everyone.”



Since opening in 2023, the gallery has quickly gained recognition, picking up multiple awards and expanding its space to meet demand. But for Albany, the real success comes from the people walking through the door.

“Seeing someone come in unsure and leave proud of what they’ve made – that’s what it’s all about.”

Her journey hasn’t been straightforward. Alongside building the business, Albany has faced personal challenges that tested her resilience. Through it all, she’s stayed focused on creating something meaningful for both her family and her community.

“Some days, resilience just meant opening the doors,” she reflects.

Now, with plans underway for Boundless Creativity 2026, Albany is continuing to grow the gallery’s reach while staying true to what matters most – accessibility, creativity, and connection.

Winning this award is a moment of recognition, but for Albany, it’s also a reminder of how far she’s come and the impact small, consistent steps can have.
