“My journey into safety didn’t start as a career choice, it started as something deeply personal. When I was ten years old, my dad was killed in a workplace incident. At that age, I didn’t understand policies, procedures, or compliance standards; I just knew he didn’t come home. That kind of loss changes you, and as I got older, it became clear that I wanted to be part of something that could prevent that kind of tragedy for other families.”

From that defining moment, her path became one rooted in purpose. Over the past 20+ years, she has built her career across industries including oil and gas, mining, construction, and manufacturing, working directly in the field alongside crews and gaining a deep understanding of the risks workers face every day. This experience has shaped her people-first approach to safety, where responsibility goes beyond compliance and focuses on protecting lives.

Together with her husband, Chad, she co-founded REELSAFE Safety, growing it into a nationwide company that supports organisations in strengthening safety culture and protecting their workforce. Today, her work remains driven by that same mission, ensuring more workers return home safely at the end of each day.

Discussing her approach to resilience and purpose, she added:

“Resilience came from staying grounded in my purpose. This work has always meant more to me than just building a business — it’s about protecting lives. Even during uncertain times, I’ve learned to trust the process and keep moving forward.”

That mindset has been central to her journey. Through periods of challenge and slower growth, she has remained focused on the bigger picture, guided by both her personal mission and a strong support system. With her husband, Chad, standing alongside her throughout, she has continued to build with clarity and determination.
