Dr. Rana also sponsors local travel sports teams every year and presents the annual “Rana Eye Care” graduation scholarship to a local high school student, helping aspiring young people continue their education and pursue future career goals.

“I have always dreamt of owning my own business and working in the field of optometry. I have also always dreamt of being a mom and growing a family. I am grateful that my business has allowed me to achieve both of my dreams. I wanted my business to reflect my family orientated lifestyle. I am able to work in the office seeing my patients part time, while still being present with my two children. I value my career and how far my business has come over the last 10 years, and the family I have created throughout the process.”

This summer marks one of the practice’s proudest achievements as Rana Eye Care celebrates its 10-year anniversary. During that decade, the business has grown into a respected part of the local community while navigating one of the most difficult periods faced by healthcare providers. The COVID-19 pandemic significantly limited patient numbers and required major changes to day-to-day operations, yet the practice remained committed to delivering quality eye care throughout. Reaching ten years in business is especially meaningful as those professional milestones have coincided with important personal ones, including Dr. Rana welcoming two children during the same period. The anniversary reflects resilience, dedication and the ability to successfully balance family life with professional excellence.

Success, for Dr. Rana, is measured in both business growth and personal fulfilment. Professionally, it is seeing the practice continue to expand year after year, welcoming new patients who have been recommended by friends and family, and watching more new faces walk through the doors every day. Personally, success is found at home. Raising two children while building a thriving practice has been equally rewarding, and hearing them say they hope to become optometrists themselves one day serves as a reminder of the lasting example she is setting, both as a mother and as a business owner.
