Hillingdon Theatre Dance Centre Wins Heroes of Industry Dance Academy SE 2026

Hillingdon Theatre Dance Centre (HTDC) has been recognised as the Heroes of Industry Dance Academy SE 2026, celebrating its commitment to dance education, inclusion, and inspiring students of all ages.

The school offers a welcoming environment for children and adults from 18 months upwards, supporting all abilities. Classes include Ballet, Street Dance, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Acrobatics, Contemporary, Singing and Musical Theatre.

At the heart of HTDC is a focus on creating a space where every student feels supported.

Principal Helen White said,
“Our goal is to provide a kind and welcoming space for all children, delivering enjoyable classes where dancers can learn and express themselves.”

Students are given opportunities to perform in West End theatres and take recognised examinations, helping build confidence and long-term development.

The school continues to focus on inclusion and growth, with the industry moving towards greater diversity across race and body types. HTDC supports this through its values of Belong, Believe, Encourage and Achieve.

The team invests in ongoing training and development, regularly attending CPD courses and sharing ideas to improve teaching standards. As an early adopter of ISTD Class Exams and Performance Awards, HTDC ensures every student has the chance to achieve and be recognised.

Helen White added,
“Every single one of our dancers is celebrated and given the chance to achieve something incredible.”
